I think it might be the anti virus' real time protection doing small checks in the MBR for changed data, but I don't know for sure. Make sure it is not vibrating off anything. It nothing is working, you might consider an RMA on the drive.

I tried HD tune Pro, and it wont let me change it either, get the error "error setting aam" any ideas? That is normal,but clicking, grinding, or buzzing would be of concern.
